On loan Town keeper Paul Gerrard says he's not yet thinking about whether he wants to make his move to Portman Road permanent.

Gerrard has played two games in his loan spell with the Blues, impressing against Coventry and being largely a spectator at Watford. He says that at the moment he is just focusing on the matches ahead: "At the moment I'm just concentrating on playing. I've only had two games and, so far, nothing's been mentioned about me staying with Ipswich," he told the Colchester Gazette.

"I wouldn't want to comment on that yet, anyway, because I've only just started my loan.

"My only priority is helping the side get three more points at Nottingham Forest on Saturday."

The Everton keeper still has two years left on his Goodison Park contract and will reportedly cost £750,000 if Town want him permanently.

The 29-year-old says he didn't take long to decide to move to Portman Road on a short-term basis: "I didn't need to think about it for long. I've known Joe since I was a kid and he's done wonders for my career. So far, I've really enjoyed my time here.

"It's a strange situation as I'm training twice a week with Ipswich a twice with Everton. But so far things have gone well and I was happy with my performance against Coventry."
