French full-back Yohan Bouzin is set to arrive at Portman Road today and will be on trial throughout next week. The Lorient player will watch tomorrow's game against Preston North End.

Bouzin is described as a pacy left-sided full-back or wing-back who is a good crosser of a ball. This season he has largely been kept on the bench by manager Yvon Pouliquen.

The 28-year-old has two years left on his contract and could be available on a free transfer. However, given Town's current financial situation a loan until the end of the season looks like the most likely option should he impress Joe Royle.

Prior to joining Lorient he had done well at Gueugnon but appears not to have settled after moving to in December 2001, coincidentally not long after Ulrich Le Pen left Lorient for Town. His move to Lorient gave him his first experience of top division football. He has also played for Beauvais.
