Wright Action! (At Last)

Finally something seems to be actually happening with regards to the Richard Wright situation. The keeper is reported in some places to be about to sign a new deal, however Celtic have expressed an interest in the keeper. George Burley said of the inquiry from Martin O'Neill and the possibility of a new deal being signed: "I've spoken to Martin, there has been no offer as yet but the truth is that I don't want to sell Wright and we are in the process of offering him a new deal. I'm very hopeful he'll sign in the next 24 hours and, if he does, there will be no transfer." Other sources suggest Wright may leave Town for Celtic at a cost of £4 million perhaps even as soon as tomorrow. More when and if we hear it.

Adam Tanner is training with Colchester, although he is not expected to join the club at the moment and is not taking part in this evening's match. Tonight Town will be without Jamie Clapham, James Scowcroft, Jermaine Wright and John Scales all of whom are suffering injuries.
