Released Town defender Lee Chaffey is to have a trial with Second Division play-offs-bound QPR. The young defender is also interesting newly promoted Division Two side Hartlepool United.

Chaffey will play for QPR's reserves against the Luton second string on Tuesday afternoon and will hope to impress Rangers' boss Ian Holloway.

Hartlepool watched the central defender in action for Town's reserves at Coventry last week and could also take a further look at him over the summer.
