Show You Want Me - Matt

Town skipper Matt Holland has challenged fans to show that they want him enough to make his wages affordable to cash-strapped Town. The popular captain could have made his final blue-shirted contribution when he scored at Pride Park on Sunday.

Holland says his departure could be dependent on the level of season ticket sales: "The more income we find through investment and season ticket sales the less we have to get through player sales."

Bournemouth, due 25% of any fee for Holland Town might receive above £800,000, may be disappointed to hear him suggest that he might stay at Portman Road but the Town skipper has repeatedly said he is happy at Town. Charlton and, less convincingly, Manchester City have been linked with the Blues' captain.

Town's financial plans, as outlined in the Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), aim for £6.2 million to come in via "loan stock, debentures, equity (shares), player transactions and cost rationalisations."

The club's target for season ticket sales has not been revealed, however a figure of 14,000 suggested by TWTD was dismissed "not as high as we want" by one high level Town figure last week.

Town's board have committed to buying £400,000 worth of loan stock while administrators Deloitte and Touche, whose overdraft will help to support the club in the period prior to exit from adminstration secured against the directors investment, are confident that a much larger figure will be attracted.
