Town are yet to receive an new bid from West Brom for defender or midfielder Thomas Gaardsøe. Earlier in the week an offer described as "nominal" and "derisory" was turned away by the Blues.

At present both chief executive Derek Bowden and chairman David Sheepshanks are away on holiday and the Baggies could be awaiting their return if they are as reported going to pursue the matter further.

Meanwhile keeper James Pullen's trial at Dagenham and Redbridge has come to an end and manager Garry Hill is expected to make a decision regarding him today.

Pullen was in goal in the Daggers' pre-season game against Canvey Island earlier in the week and was lucky not to receive a red card after bringing down a player in the area when he was the last defender.
