Town boss Joe Royle felt his side's comback was fantastic after Crystal Palace had gone two-up in the first 15 minutes. Royle felt his side had been second best early on but deserved their victory over the full 90 minutes.

The Town manager said: "Palace ran us ragged for the first 20 minutes or so - they had us all over the place.

"But to come back was fantastic, and in the second half we really started to get hold of it.

"It would have been tragic if we hadn't won the game. Palace were terrific and very attacking."

Palace boss Steve Kember's side were unsurprisingly less than pleased at letting a two-goal lead slip: "Our players are disappointed.

"We played well in the first 30 minutes - but then I've been saying that all season.

"We could have put Ipswich completely out of the game, but they did well to get back into it. We are giving sloppy goals away and we have got to remedy it."
