Keeper James Pullen's move to Peterborough United is close to being completed, according to Blues' boss Joe Royle. Pullen is out of contract at Town at the end of the season and has been made available on a free transfer.

Royle said: “Peterborough are talking to him. They want him to go there, so it's just a matter of how long the contract will be.

“We hear they want him for a month initially, then two months, and then they might even be talking six months or even two years."

Pullen played for Posh's reserves side on Tuesday afternoon, a game which ended 5-4 to Barry Fry's club, former Town striker Richard Logan scoring twice.

The 21-year-old keeper has spent the first three months of this season on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge in the Nationwide Conference.

Meanwhile Royle is receiving good reports regarding another loan player: “Chris Hogg is doing very well at Boston.”

Hogg is playing in his less favoured right-back role at Neil Thompson's club and has been watched by academy director Bryan Klug.

Royle says that Dutch midfielder Nabil Abidallah looks likely to move to Ross County on loan in January after his recent trial: “They were impressed, he did very well up there.

"I think come the transfer window, if nothing else comes up, there is a strong possibility he'll go to Ross County."
