New Job for Mariner Friday, 6th Feb 2004 10:23 Legendary Town striker Paul Mariner has been appointed as assistant coach of the New England Revolution in the American MLS. Mariner, recently back in England to watch Town's 1-1 draw at Reading, will be deputy to former Liverpool man Steve Nicoll. The ex-England man Mariner moved to the US in 1988 and coached the Albany Capitals. He has remained in America and was recently a coaching assistant Harvard University. Mariner has also been working as technical director of the Greater Boston Bolts, a top US youth side.
