Town striker Shefki Kuqi will be in action for Finland tonight for the first time since his switch to Town. The former Sheffield Wednesday player previously asked to be left out of Finland matches so he could establish himself with the Blues.

Finland travel to face Malta in their national stadium at Ta'Qali, near Valletta. The Town front man will be hoping to win his 34th cap and add to his three goals.

Elsewhere, former Blue Frank Yallop has organised a training camp for his Canadian side in Manchester. The ex-Town full-back was appointed Canada's coach earlier this year and is yet to play a game.

England face Sweden in Gothenburg with manager Joe Royle part of the BBC TV team. Royle has urged Sven-Goran Eriksson to play Norwich keeper Robert Gree: "Green has done well and I'm glad to see he has got a call-up. He has been outstandingly consistent this season.

"I just hope now that as Sven has brought him in he takes the opportunity to have a look at him in the game.

"Otherwise, if he does not play some part of the game there would seem to be little point in taking him.

"I could see how England would want to give him experience of being in the set-up if it was 12 months ago but we are running out of time now.

"It is the last game before the Europeans so it would be a good time to look at him."

Green looks unlikely to feature with three other keepers - David James, Paul Robinson and Ian Walker - all included in Eriksson's party.
