A Belgium based TWTD Message Board regular has provided more info from the Belgian press on Verheyen's possible (now seeming ever more probable) move to Town. The player is quoted in Het Eerste Nieuws today on the subject of the move and he seems more than interested: "I can earn 3 times as much playing for Ipswich, I'd be an idiot if I wasn't interested". I don't want to play for Arsenal or Chelsea, Ipswich is already big enough for me!"

The increasingly popular with Town fans Belgian went on: "Ipswich may not be one of the big teams but if you beat Everton 3-0 then they are obviously not that small."

Wise words from a man we will gladly accept into the ITFC fold. He is currently under contract with Brugge until 2004.
