Ipswich's player of the season so far, Titus Bramble, takes the field tonight for his second England Under-21 cap. The match, to be played at Derby's Pride Park Stadium, should see a record attendance for such a game. Already 25,000 tickets have been sold, the home fans excited by the inclusion of 4 Derby players: Malcolm Christie, Adam Murray, Chris Riggott and Lee Morris.

The young colossus is unlikely to be phased by the occasion against the Germans, as he has taken the Premiership comfortably in his stride. Praise has been raining in on Titus since the start of the season, none higher than from Arsene Wenger who wished to have him in his own squad, but Bramble can’t be happier at the moment, saying “I’m playing for my home town club in the Premiership and representing my country. It doesn’t get any better than that”.

The Town star continues to be the subject of negotiations between his agent Jonathan Barnett and the club, for a new contract that is rumoured to be the largest in the Club’s history. “I don’t get involved in that — I leave it for other people to sort out.”
