Released Dutch midfielder is reported to be set to join ADO Den Haag back in his home country. The former Ajax youth player had the remaining months of his contract settled by the Blues in March.

Abidallah, who made just three appearances as sub in four years at Portman Road, had previously been on trial at a number of Dutch clubs, including Heerenveen.

Meanwhile, another Dutchman, Martijn Reuser, says that there have been no new developments regarding his possible exit from Portman Road.

The one-time Holland international recently announced that he would like to leave Town in order to start more games, with the Dutch press linking Willem II and FC Twente.

Reuser says that if a move doesn't happen over the summer then he would still be happy to remain at Town: “It has been very quiet and nothing has progressed as yet.

“I want to play more football but I don't have to leave Ipswich, I don't necessarily need to leave, I just want to play more.

“I have always loved this club and its fans and I would only leave if it was the right move for me as a player and it was right for my family.”

The link with Willem II is the more likely according to TWTD's sources in Holland, although the Dutch press have gone quiet on the story in recent weeks.

Town's moneymen are likely to be keen to see Reuser leave the club; his wages being amongst the top three at Portman Road along with Pablo Couñago and Marcus Bent.
