Ticket Sales Going Well
Ticket Sales Going Well
Friday, 28th May 2004 13:13

Sales of season tickets for 2004/05 are going well and are likely to be close to last year's total of 18,000. Today (Friday, May 28th) is the last day for existing season ticket holders to purchase their seats at discounted prices.

The Ticket Office has already processed around 10,000 applications, with business brisk today and 1,000 applications-a-day having arrived this week.

Town Ticket Office manager John Ford told the club site: "It's too early to tell what the take-up on the season ticket price freeze has been but I would say it looks to be very similar to last year at this stage.

"It all looks very encouraging and the staff are working as quickly as possible to process the applications.

"The post has been heavy, particularly this week, and we are behind on the processing of tickets because of the club's involvement in the play-offs, but we are getting there."

Ford says the club are not sticking to the deadline for discounted ticket purchases too strictly: "As long as the forms are in the post over the weekend, that will be OK."

Town are likely to have budgeted for season ticket sales to be some distance below last year's total. If the early estimates are correct, the club's ability to hang on to their 'Young Guns' will have been strengthened.
