Gousse With Wolves Wednesday, 28th Jul 2004 10:09 French trialist Nicolas Gousse moved quickly to find himself another club after being told he would not be offered a deal with the Blues yesterday. After training with Town in the morning, the Guingamp striker hot-footed it to Wolves and was in action in their friendly against Mansfield at Field Mill. Boss Dave Jones was impressed with his efforts: "When he came on he put himself about and could have scored on two or three occasions. Hopefully, like Youl [Mawene], we will take a further look at him on Friday." Town boss Joe Royle considered Gousse too similar to Darren Bent and Dean Bowditch. Royle has said on a number of occasions that he is looking for a striker who can hold the ball up.
