Dinning Back With Wigan
Dinning Back With Wigan

After being told that Wigan midfielder Tony Dinning will not be kept on longer than the two month loan spell, he returned to his home club this afternoon.

He had been given the option of being on the bench against Coventry on Sunday, but not surprisingly turned that down. He finished his duties at Town today after a training session.

Tony told the Club site: "Joe told me this morning that he wouldn't be keeping me and that's fair enough, it happens in football.

"Obviously I'm disappointed because I have really enjoyed myself here but it hasn't worked out.

"I'll go back to Wigan now and see how things work out from there but I have really enjoyed working with the lads here and can see Ipswich pushing on and being heavily involved in the promotion race."

Joe will now look at bringing in another player on loan, probably for the Burnley match on the 16th October.
