Happy at Carrow Road

Dean Bowditch was happy with his own contribution in last night's England U19s match a Carrow Road and with the locals reaction.

"I was pleased, both with my own and the team's performance," says Deano. "We were annoyed with the goal we let in because it was a set-piece and we hardly ever concede from set-pieces.

"My pass to Lee Holmes which resulted in our goal was just like the one I scored against Coventry; a long ball from me over on the right and all Lee had to do was tap it in."

"It's a lot harder in the middle because as a wide man you have more space but I like to think that I'm versatile and the manager, Martin Hunter, can put me where he wants."

Surprisingly the young crowd supported the Town youngster which was appreciated: "I think they warmed to me after the first few touches and realised that I was playing for my country and not Ipswich!" he said.

The match ended 1-1 with the Czech Republic so the Norwich faithful are still waiting for that first win this season.
