Rhodes on the Bench?
Rhodes on the Bench?

Town could have 40-year-old goalkeeping coach Andy Rhodes on the bench at Watford tomorrow as third choice stopper Shane Supple may have broken his toe. The Blues are already without Kelvin Davis due to his back injury, Lewis Price continuing in his place.

Irish youngster Supple has filled in on the bench in recent games but suffered a suspected broken toe in the reserves match at Charlton on Tuesday.

With Supple unliekly to be available, manager Joe Royle will decide between Rhodes - who hasn't played a senior match since an FA Cup tie for non-league Wakefield and Emley in 1998 - and not naming a keeper on the bench.

Town have registered Rhodes, who played for Dunfermline, Airdrie, St Johnstone, Scarborough and Halifax during his career, just in case he is required.

Revised squad: Price, Rhodes, Diallo, Wilnis, Richards, Mitchell, De Vos, Naylor, Magilton, Horlock, Miller, Westlake, Bent, Kuqi, Bowditch, Couñago.
