Third Win for Peters
Third Win for Peters
Monday, 31st Jan 2005 10:02

Jaime Peters was a half-time sub for the Canadian U20 side as they completed their games at the CONCACAF qualifying tournament with a 1-0 win over Jamaica. Two previous wins over Mexico and the hosts had already secured Canada a place at the FIFA World Youth Championships in Holland this summer.

Peters, who officially signs for the Blues when he turns 18 in May, played the full 90 minutes of the first game, was subbed at the break in the second and came off the bench in the third, the side having been switched around for the final match.

The 17-year-old already has five caps at senior level and is in the Canada squad for their friendly with Northern Ireland in Belfast on February 9th.
