 Tuesday, 1st Feb 2005 13:36 The Zutons will be one of two support acts opening for REM when the Georgia band plays at Portman Road on Friday 8th July. Club chief executive Derek Bowden says Town hope the support act will bring in younger fans: "We are delighted that the Zutons have been added to the bill, their album is riding high in the charts and they will appeal to a slightly younger audience than REM. "We are also hoping to announce a third act shortly which will further enhance the experience on the night." Tickets to the REM concert and the Neil Diamond gig on Thursday, May 26th are available here. A planned third concert featuring Bon Jovi will not now take place due to the band deciding to tour Europe in 2006 and not 2005.
