Former Town striker James Scowcroft says that at the moment he is keeping his mind on getting Leicester City into the play-offs. The Foxes are at Portman Road on Saturday to face what the ex-England U21 international believes is the best side in the Championship.

Scowcroft could well be back in a Town shirt next season but at the moment he is keeping quiet on his long-term plans, telling the club site: "All I am concentrating on now is Leicester.

"I have enjoyed my time here and we still have a chance of reaching the play-offs. For now my future is at the back of my mind and it will stay there until the end of the season."

Scowcroft says he has been impressed with Joe Royle's work at Town: "In my opinion Ipswich are the best team in the Championship.

"Joe Royle has done an excellent job since arriving there and has slowly rebuilt the squad.

"It has taken him time, as you would expect because he has lost some key players along the way, but it looks like it will pay off.

"The players he has brought in all seem to have done well and I'm sure Ipswich will be going up this season."
