Keeper Lewis Price conceded four goals as the Wales U21 side lost 4-0 to Germany at Wrexham. The Germans were the better side throughout and the Town glovesman was left with little chance on at least three of the goals.

The victory sent the Germans top of UEFA U21 Championships Qualifying Group Six which also includes England.

Sahr Senesie lashed in the first on 15, Price might have kept out Alexander Ludwig's 25-yard drive in the 25th minute but the ball bounced over his outstetched left hand and into the net.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Blues' Academy from Southampton, was given little chance by Mike Hanke on 79 and Marcell Jansen's deflected shot in the final minute.

Price was winning his fifth cap at U21 level. Former Town Academy defender Lee Beevers, now with Boston, made his U21 debut as a first half sub.

Elsewhere, former Blue Sam Morrow scored the winner on his debut for the Northern Irish U21s as they beat Scotland 2-1 at the Oval in Belfast. Morrow is now one of the ex-Town contingent at Tony Mowbray's Hibernian.
