Reserves Match Off
Reserves Match Off
Monday, 28th Feb 2005 16:43

Town's home reserve match with Charlton scheduled for this evening has been called off due to the pitch being frozen.

Boss Joe Royle had hoped to use the game to take a look at a number of his fringe players in action, specifically Matt Richards and Danny Karbassiyoon, one of whom is likely to play at left-back against Wigan.

With Jason De Vos suspended for the trip to his old club, Royle is likely to move David Unsworth to centre-half and play one of the youngsters on the left of defence.

The Blues will also be without the suspended James Scowcroft for the second against third clash.

The trip to the JJB Stadium looks likely to come too quickly for Shefki Kuqi and there may be a recall to the starting line-up for Pablo Couñago, another player Royle will have wanted to catch in action this evening.

French midfielder Jimmy Juan was due to be involved in tonight's game after his recent foot injury.

No new date has yet been set for the game.
