Kuqi Back for Forest

Striker Shefki Kuqi could be back from injury in time for the home game with Nottingham Forest on March 12th. Kuqi picked up a deep gash to his leg during the 2-1 win against Leicester City and has been out of action ever since.

Kuqi himself had been hopeful of a return against Wigan on Saturday but club physio Dave Williams told the club site that the striker is not likely to return for another week: "We were originally told that Shefki could be out for up to eight weeks.

"Fortunately, he is a quick healer and the specialist is happy with the way the cut is healing and has told us that Shefki can step up his rehab.

"He has been doing a lot of swimming but now he will be able to step up his recovery this week with some running and we'll take it from there.

"You can never be certain and we will take it one day at a time, but I'm very confident that if he keeps progressing as he has done he will be available for the Forest game in two weeks, if it takes place."

The match with Forest could be postponed as Gary Megson's men are involved in an FA Cup fifth round replay with Spurs on Wednesday night. Sixth round games are played on the weekend on which the Town-Forest game is scheduled.
