Striker Shefki Kuqi played the full 90 minutes as Finland lost 4-3 to the Czech Republic in a World Cup qualifier in Teplice. Kuqi was winning his 39th cap for his adopted nation.

The Czechs went ahead through Milan Baroš in the seventh minute, Tomáš Rosický adding to their lead on 34.

Former Liverpool man Jari Litmanen pulled one back for the Finns in the 46th minute, before Jan Polák restored the Czech Republic's two-goal lead on 58.

Finland staged a late comeback with Crystal Palace's Aki Riihilahti and then former Town trialist Jonatan Johansson putting the visitors on terms. However, it was all in vain and Vratislav Lokvenc netted a winner for the home side in the 87th minute.

Town keeper Lewis Price was an unused member of the Welsh squad as they were defeated 2-0 by Austria in Cardiff, the goals coming in the last ten minutes from Martin Stranzl and Ivica Vastic.

Price wasn't expected to be involved in the game on his first call into the senior side, Burnley's Danny Coyne is currently the first choice and veteran Wolves stopper Paul Jones was on the bench.
