Striker Pablo Couñago says he is not yet sure whether he will be lining-up for the Blues at Leeds on Saturday. Reports earlier in the week indicated the Spaniard would make only his fourth start of the season at Elland Road.

Couñago says he would love the chance to have a major role the Blues' final promotion push: "I would love to start and try and help Ipswich win these next three games.

"I don't know if I'm starting on Saturday and I'm trying not to think too much about it because you just never know what will happen.

"The manager has not said anything yet and we try different team line-ups in training, so you can't tell.”

The former Celta Vigo man, the only player left on a big Premiership wage, understood to be one-fifth of the club's overall £5 million wage bill at the beginning of the season, was left out of the reserve side which lost to Chelsea on Tuesday which may suggest his involvement against Leeds at the weekend.
