Karbassiyoon a Claret Thursday, 30th Jun 2005 15:47 Former Town loanee Danny Karbassiyoon has joined Burnley on a two-year deal after being released by Arsenal earlier in the summer. Karbassiyoon spent two-and-a-half months on loan with the Blues last season. The American is a likely replacement for Town target Mo Camara who has joined Celtic. Karbassiyoon says he had a number of options after leaving Arsenal: "I'm really excited to be at Burnley. There was interest from other clubs but I weighed all my options up and wanted to come here. "In order to advance my career I have to get out and start playing football and that's what I hope to do here." Town are unlikely to have been amongst the clubs chasing the 20-year-old, having sent him back to Arsenal prior to the end of his loan spell despite the Gunners entirely funding his wages while at Portman Road.
