Rogers Linked Sunday, 24th Jul 2005 21:05 Nottingham Forest left-back Alan Rogers has been linked with a move to the Blues. Rogers has been made available on a free transfer by Forest manager Gary Megson despite having two years left on his current contract. If Town are interested in the Liverpool-born player, Forest would first have to settle his contract. Rogers, 28, started his career with Tranmere before a £2 million deal in July 1997 took him to Forest for the first of two spells. In November 2001 he moved to Leicester for £300,000. Loan spells at Wigan and Forest followed in 2003/04 before he joined the Tricky Trees on a free transfer at the end of the season. Like Town skipper Jim Magilton, Rogers was sent off for violent conduct in a pre-season friendly on Friday. The 5ft 10in tall defender was in action for Forest's reserves against Notts County having been omitted from the first team squad's pre-season tour of Denmark.
