Blues to Appeal Jim Card Tuesday, 26th Jul 2005 09:45 Joe Royle says the Blues will appeal against Jim Magilton's red card in last Friday's pre-season match against Újpest. The Town skipper was red-carded in the latter stages of the game after a flare-up with Újpest striker Péter Rajczi. Magilton could avoid a three-match suspension if referee Attila Dubraviczky hasn't included the cards in his match report, but if the incident is mentioned then Royle says Town will launch an appeal: "I have seen the video and all Jim is guilty of is of being head-butted. "We are waiting to see if the Hungarian FA do send in a report and, if they do, then we will vigorously protest." On a previous Town pre-season tour Mauricio Taricco was sent off but avoided serving a suspension after the referee omitted to mention the red card in his match report.
