Striker Sam Parkin says he will be fit to face Reading at the Madejski Stadium a week on Saturday. The £450,000 summer signing from Swindon injured his back in the first half of the game against Crewe.

Parkin said: "It was sore but I thought I could play. After half an hour it began to trouble me, and it was right that I did not come out for the second half. It is not serious and with a two-week break it should be fine by Sunday."

Fellow frontman Nicky Forster could be back in the starting line-up against his former club. Forster is expected to play for the reserves again on Monday as he gets back to fitness after his cartilage operation.
