On-trial midfielder Vemund Brekke Skard says he was pleased with his performance for the reserves in a friendly against Spurs yesterday. However, the Norwegian admitted he was feeling the pace by the latter stages of the second half.

Skard, 24, has been impressed with the club: "I was very satisfied with the first half. I was involved a lot and found that I could cope with this level.

"But the tempo was much, much faster than I am used to, so in the second half I got extremely tired and in the last 10-15 minutes I hardly touched the ball.

"I am very excited to be involved at such a fantastic football club. This is a tremendous experience for me and inspires me as a footballer and as a person.

"People have been very nice to me here, the training ground is perfect and the town is beautiful. I like it a lot. But I'm still not getting carried away that I'll be offered a contract. I am quite sure I will be a Brumunddal player next season again."

Skard, who is training to be a teacher back in Norway while playing as an amateur for Brumunddal, is with the Blues until Friday.
