Town's U16s take on Manchester United in a friendly at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm). Goals-addicted frontman Jordan Rhodes is set to lead the attack.

Rhodes will be partnered by Jack Ainsley, son of 1980s trainee George and brother of the recently released Stuart.

Also involved will be England U17 internationals Kurt Robinson, a full-back, and midfielder Ed Upson, the scorer of the dramatic winning goal in last season's FA Youth Cup final second leg.

Rhodes, Robinson and Upson are amongst the new full-time scholars recently inducted into the academy, while Ainsley is still at school.

Other recent inductees Andy Plummer (goalkeeper), Curtley Williams and Nathan Tooms (both midfield) are also expected to play.

The game was arranged by Sammy Morgan, the academy's head of education, who previously organised similar matches during his time with Norwich's youth set-up.

Prior to kick-off there will be a coaching demonstration by some of the younger academy age groups.

All cash raised by the game will go to the academy.
