Hallworth Retires Tuesday, 23rd Jan 2001 12:51 Ex-Town keeper Jon Hallworth has hung up his gloves at the age of 35 due to a knee injury. The keeper made 56 full appearances with Town between 1983 and 1989. He left Town to join Oldham for £75,000 where he made 214 appearances (plus 3 as sub) in eight years at Boundary Park. From there he joined Cardiff on a free where he has been for three and a half years. He made 148 appearances for the Welshmen, but has finally succumbed to injury. TWTD's A-Z section is as yet without a biography for Jon Hallworth and many other Town players from this era. Feel free to write a piece on your hero (or perhaps a villain) and send it to us. THe A-Z can be found on the main maenu of the website: http://www.twtd.co.uk class="storytext"> Photo: Action Images
