Academy schoolboy Jack Ainsley won his second U17 cap as England defeated a Faroese U19 side 1-0 in their second group game at the Nordic Tournament. Midfielder Ainsley scored in England's first game on Monday, a 4-2 victory over Sweden.

England complete their group fixtures at the Faroes Islands-based competition with a match against Norway on Thursday.

Town's new Icelandic recruit Viktor Unnar Illugason was in his nation's starting line-up as they lost 3-1 to Denmark in the other group. Iceland's final game is against the hosts' U17 side, also on Thursday.

Town's U15s have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Junior section of the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland after defeating County Tyrone 3-1. The youngsters won their first match 3-0 against the San Diego Nomads on Monday. The young Blues now face Crumlin United on Wednesday evening.

In the Elite competition of the same tournament, Chris Casement is likely to be in action for the Northern Irish U19 side when they face Turkey on Wednesday evening.
