Town have announced that should the game with Tranmere on November 12th be cancelled it will be replaced with a home game against the Latvian National side who are currently on tour in Britain. The Latvians are managed by former Cambridge United boss Gary Johnson. Town are hoping that call-ups for David Johnson and Richard Wright, in addition to that of Matt Holland, will allow the game to be called off.

Town striker is again the subject of injury worry after once more hurting his thigh early in last night's loss at Huddersfield. The Town striker is considered doubtful for Saturday's game at Blackburn. James Scowcroft is similarly a doubt, so Town could face the Rovers with an Axeldal - Naylor forward line.

Town have reiterated their commitment to increasing the size of Portman Road. And it is Churchman's it seems which will be increased by 4,000 seats next autumn. Previously we had been told that the North Stand would be enlarged, however it seems that the developments will take place at the other end of the ground. Town secretary David Rose said that not everything was entirley in place as yet with contracts being negotiated etc, however he believed the work should be finished by this time next year. He added "Planning and construction times have got a lot quicker over recent years as firms become more experienced in this type of development. We would hope to start work before the end of this season, do much of the heavy work during the summer, and complete the extension during the early months of next season to have it finished in the autumn."

Town lost their second place in the table last night after a 3-1 away loss at Huddersfield. Town showed one change from Saturday, Tony Mowbray dropped out with a virus and Manu Thetis regained his position in the back three.

Town have only one worry for tonight's match with Huddersfield and that is James Scowcroft who will take a late fitness test on his leg injury.
