The ITFC Charitable Trust is offering children aged 5 to 16 years the chance to perform in the guard of honour at the home games against Bristol City on Saturday 22nd December and Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday 1st January. Youth teams can book their Christmas parties, either in conjunction with the Matchday Soccer Experience or on non-matchdays.

Former Blue Frank Yallop has been named the MLS Coach of the Year 2012. The 48-year-old’s San Jose Earthquakes won this season’s Supporters’ Shield, which is awarded to the team with the best regular season record, but lost to Yallop’s former club the LA Galaxy in the MLS play-offs.

Guirane N’Daw, Luke Hyam and Daryl Murphy were on target as Town climbed out of the bottom three by beating Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Portman Road. Forest keeper Lee Camp should already have been sent off before he and ex-Blues loanee Danny Collins failed to deal with a long ball and N’Daw netted his first goal for Town. Blackstock equalised for the visitors after the break but Hyam slammed in his first for the Blues after Campbell’s penalty had been saved and Murphy added the third late on.
