Andre Dozzell, the 13-year-old son of former Blues midfielder Jason, is set to sign a scholarship with the Town academy, despite reports of interest from Premier League sides including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham in this morning’s national newspapers.

Former Blues striker Jordan Rhodes netted just after the hour to see Town to a 1-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers in a scrappy affair at Ewood Park. There was little between the teams in a poor game with the only goal somewhat fortunate, Aaron Cresswell clearing off the line from Grant Hanley and Rhodes stabbing it over the line off Blues keeper Stephen Henderson.
