Mings played very well, McGoldrick showed his quality as did young bishop who look class on the ball. very solid performance although Gerkens handling again looked suspect. Tabb also worked his socks off to allow Mings the freedom to bomb forward at practically every opportunity.

From my kitchen in Sweden i watched via the internet, i came across a link to a free web sharing football site and was chuffed to bits. I sat back and watched with Horror as the camera man pointlessly zoomed in at empty bits of turf and overweight fans in the crowd. i couldn't make out anything that was going on until i realised that the match hadn't kicked off yet.
Then the match began and i watched with Horror as the camera man pointlessly zoomed in at empty bits of turf and overweight fans in the crowd.
Eventually he got to grips and inbetween pointless zooming in on players without the ball i saw some of the game .
With no commentary on the live stream i decided to take matters into my own hands and impersonate Brenner Wooley with guest co commentator Alan Hanson.
For 30 minutes i was unimpressed with our lack of passing and panicking in possession. With Carlos Edwards looking more composed on the ball than any of the town team i was beginning to get agitated. I turned to the cupboard and went for the 70% cocoa chocolate orange bar and some ready salted crisps which i think was the turning point as Bishop danced into the Millwall box only to fall but with the loose ball falling to McGoldrick who calmly slotted home via a slight deflection (which any striker will tell you was planned).
After the goal town seemed a lot more composed on the ball, we stated stringing more than 3 passes together and even the cameraman had got to grips with zooming in and out.
Half time came and not wanting to lose the generous free stream provided by the internet i indulged in more crisps and watched the town subs do some warm ups. The real half time action came when the cameraman decided to zoom in on a sprinkler and i wondered if he was missing the cheerleaders of yesteryear that provided so much entertainment to the pervs in the Lower North.
Second half was all town, Murphy scoring what many would refer to as a pants tap in after pants defending by Millwall. It was game set and match then and we should have scored more except McGoldrick kept blasting the ball into the stands (probably out of frustration from not playing away at stoke today).
All in all a good result, Mick will be happy with 3 points and a clean sheet, probably not so happy when he watches the game highlights on DVD and all he sees are fat people, sprinklers and empty turf. But hey, if the cameraman is called Skuse, he'll be back on Tuesday.

Well an odd game in many ways, When finding out the team at the Mulberry Tree I wondered what we would get with 4-4-2 the order of the day. A not so full PR was hardly inspired in the first half where we could easily have been a couple of goals down, but that Man Didzy again showed he is a class above with the young Bishop again excelling. The second half was better and we looked solid and controlled things. The substitutions were hardly inspiring but perhaps done with Tuesday in mind. Chambers looked so much better in his rightful position but that saw Tommy Smith left out. So to ratings:

Gergen. 7 much better than of late although he did spill one second half and could perhaps be quicker with distribution.
Parr. 7. A good player solid and dependable
Mings. 8. Excellent going forwards and defensively improved too
Chambers 8. Assured as both captain and centre back
Berra. 7. Reliable as ever
Skuse. 5. I effectively invisible
Bishop. 7. Lots of incisive forward movement and intent, combined with Didz for the opener
Anderson. 6. Flattered to deceive
Tabb. 8. Possibly man of the match. I am a critic but his football brain shone through today
Murphy. 6. Hard working, took his goal well too
McGoldrick. 8. A cut above in this division, not for the first time visiting fans commented he is special

Sammon 4. Smith. 5. Hyam. 4

Poor game between two very average teams.

Bishop looked very promising, if mick can turn hyam back into a proper defensive midfielder, rather than a box to box, it would be nice to see them together, I think skuse needs to be dropped for a few games to help him re- find his form.i wasn't happy with smith being dropped, but I think it was the right decision and it was nice to see two full backs again, if Mings is out of Tuesday, I would put Hewitt in at rb and move parr to lb!

Outplayed for large parts of first period but got the goal at the right time. Second half much improved and never looked back after the second goal. The raiding play of Mings and intelligent play from Bishop and McGoldrick was a joy to watch, while Tabb put in a tidy shift.

Mings and Tabb particularly good.Tabby man of match.

Good to see the ball on the grass a bit more and signs of actual football being played. At last, in Bishop, someone who wants to drive forward with ball, excellent display in only second start. With Mings getting forward at every opportunity attacking football may soon be a more regular feature at PR. Tabb and Anderson also ran their socks off. OK not a mind blowing performance but surely the seeds of better things to come were sown today

First time over this season so happy with the result. Milwall I thought were the better side in the first half although created few clear chances. McGoldrick's goal was class and showed how talented he is. In the second half Town were much more comfortable and Murphy's well taken goal settled us, although they did let Milwall into the game towards the end, Gerken's made a fine save towards the end of the match. Other players who impressed were Tabb and Mings.
