A lot better performance than of late apart from the failure to convert good chances Murphy being the main culprit wasting a golden opportunity from a few yards out set up by the impressive Parr by somehow putting it over the bar .Richard Chaplow started in midfield and had a good game until he was sub during the second half along with Freddie Sears who had been a constant thorn in Brentfords side these substitutions somewhat weakened the Town and they didn't look so balanced after they were replaced the finishing will have to improve on today's showing for town to progress.

1-1 going on 6-1. How Brentford weren't just beaten but absolutely buried is beyond me. We had so many chances; good balls across the 6 yard box, Murphy missing an open goal from 3 yards, Murphy one on one with the keeper, Wood's header and more. Couple of lapses at the back that might have been punished on another day, but overall we were by far the better side and should have won. If we can play like that for the rest of the season, we'll be alright.

Great game today. Very exciting for all the fans to watch. We should have won, we had the chances, especially Murph.

Murphy was excellent today winning nearly everything in the air despite being marked by 2 men all the time. Sears looked good again but never looked like scoring. Brentford were physical but we gave as good as we got.

Skye's was really up for it in the middle of the park and Tabb was a giant winning more headers than he was entitled to. Tackling like a tiger and playing some great balls forward. Parr was also excellent.

As usual the defence was outstanding dealing with a fast and physical attack. Smith, so often the target of stupid comments on here, was absolutely superb (as he usually is). Berra was his usual immaculate self and Mings got better and better as the game went on.

A real battling display by town who should have won 3-1 but Brentford fought really hard to get their point. All is not lost. We are quite capable of beating anyone in this league including all those table top games now coming up.

As MM said it will go right to the wire. How lucky are we to be following a team that still involved at the right end of the table. A tribute to MM and the players and staff.

A hard game to actually make head or tail of, some great chances in the second half and we should have won. Before the match the team selection hardly inspiring and from a personal point of view the persistence with Smith at CB whilst Chambers is stuck at RB continues to baffle. frustration again with endless high and long balls, aided by an inept refereeing performance and some questionable offside decisions

In terms of players
Gerken. Had a nervouse first half but looked better in the second half, still not my choice between the sticks. Overall 6/10
Chambers. Hardly inspirational today and again out of place at RB. 5/10
Mings. A better performance. 6/10
Smith. Got away with a handball which was obvious from the North stand, lots of aimless hoofbball and still not looking comfortable 4/10
Berra. Again not excellent but won his fair share of headers. 6/10
Parr. Not convinced he is a left sided midfielder but tried his hardest. 7/10
Scuse. My man of the match, assured and tried to get it on the bloody ground. 8/10
Tabb. Good today, guaranteed 100% effort. 7/10
Chaplow. Not over impressive it did look like he could play on the ground. 6/10
Murphy. Led the line and despite the miss in the second half, where would be we without him. 7/10
Sears. I like him a lot, unlucky to be substituted when he did seem effective. 7/0

Subs. Bishop. Needs to play centrally, is our future. 6/10
Wood. On that performance he can go back to Leicester 4/10

As disappointing a game, and result, as I have seen for many years.

That's it. Another two points gone at this crutial part of the season. How did Daryl miss that goal? Looks like play-offs at best, but are no longer optimestic.

Great start and a goal, then sloppy defending cost us again, a poor header by Mings and Gerks giving away a corner and eventually 1-1. Brentford looked fleet of foot in attack but woeful at the back and should have been punished. Numerous chances were missed, two by Murphy and one by Wood. Strange substitutions, Sears was always a thorn and should have not been withdrawn, while Chaplow was always energetic and deserved his start. Parr, Tabb and Smith my standout players. This should have been a definate 3 points won.

Game we should have won on chances, can forgive Murphy after all his goals this season. I still think Smith needs to be rested his problem is he can't pass with his right foot. Was impressed with Parr in midfield he never stops running must be kept in side.
Why Mick took Freddie of I will never know the Brentford defence were so slow I am sure I he had keep him on field we would have won.
Finally must say the ref was terrible Brentford should have been down to 10 men when Parr was fouled when through on goal, how he could then give a free kick against Murphy for hand ball I will never know, he bottled it.

We were okay, however murphy couldn't finish (not even an open goal!). Also the referee was abysmal and they should've been down to 9 men, especially no. 10 who hacked, dived in and pulled shirts. Parr was one in one and the defender came in and almost killed him. Pretty poor from the ref
