Today we were simply not good enough, of course it is going to be extremely difficult to get anything against Leicester at the minute but Mick should know by his experience in this league that no matter what game you approach you go into in believing you can get something from it, however today he seemed to have sent his team there to just do all they can to grind out a draw, Mick if you really did have top 6 in mind why are you not using the tactics you used at Wolves and Sunderland. Now we dust ourselves down and turn all attentions to the Birmingham game and im sure Mick will be looking to change things up

Blues Leading Chase for Ebanks-Blake

Mick has been playing McGoldrick just behind Nouble and Murphy at times this season and i see this move as one that would push Nouble out and bring Ebanks Blake in. He is proven goalscorer and he gets on to nearly any ball played into him so he would be another DJ Campbell in my eyes. But he would bring more pace, strength and quality.

Absolutely buzzing after this result. Well done to big Mick for changing the tactics. Because he always plays 4-4-2 he must have been nervous about changing it, but what a response from the players to that tactical change. Also its great to see all 3 strikers score and not just McGoldrick for once. THE MAIN THING is that we didn't put our heads down and defend for an away point, we dug in and went for the win and got our reward. Hopefully now we have that away win we can really push on from here. COYB!!

The problem Taylor has is that he don't fit into a 4-4-2 and it looks like Mick don't even have a plan B formation. I dont understand why a 4-2-3-1 won't work.

McCarthy Linked With Palace

I'm not worried about this at all. Mick won't want that job. Some people are forgetting the state we were in a few seasons ago under Keane and Jewell. Mick is having to steady the ship and fix everything that them 2 managers did to us. IT will take time. NO MANAGER can come in to a club with 7 points after 13 games, keep them up and then be riding high in the league the next season. I will be honest i have critisised Mick this season but only because he is a very defensive manager. He just needs to try and mix it up a bit and change formation sometimes and try get us playing more attractive football. THAT IS IT. He wouldn't have came in and expected promotion this season. He knows everything takes time and he is building a platform to work with. HONESTLY i don't think he knows his best 11 yet and people also forget that these players are now starting to gel together. We just need to kill teams off and not panic. MICK KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. HE WON'T LEAVE. I can understand why he didn't rule himself out for Ireland job, because he wants to go back one day and would have been in 2 mind about it .

McCarthy Speculation Continues in Irish Press

I think we all realise that this is causing unrest at the club and Tommy Smith has publicly spoken about this so it proves that it is getting to the players. Mick has done a wonderful job with us. Kept us up when we looked certain for Relegation and we haven't started this season badly in my eyes. However the 4-4-2 formation and defensive approach needs to go. We have a damn good squad and if the right manager comes in (IF MICK GOES) he will have to be a manager who can play that attacking side to entertain and win games but also be able to keep solid and i personally feel that Nigel Clough is that man. He will get our back line up to scratch again and im sure he will play a style and formation that will spice it up and make us deadly going forward. HOWEVER Mick has not gone but thats what i would do if he does. The thing is Mick is dragging this along saying 'MAYBE I JUST WANT TO BE ASKED'. NO manager would say that if they didn't want the job tbh, i think we all no that.

Premier League Clubs Watching Cresswell

Cresswell is absolutely quality, I would love to see him stay but i have to agree with most comments on this post that if good Premier League clubs are looking at him he won't want to turn it down. In the last few weeks apart from yesterday he has really played well. I hope no one sent scouts to Derby because that would make a club very keen to step it up. He said he is happy in Ipswich but we all know how football is these days. If an offer comes in like Connor Wickham i can see the club accepting it and letting Mick bring in some players in more than 1 area. Hope he stays but at this rate i can see clubs in for him in January if not then it will be next summer for sure.

Derby County 4-4 Town

Obvisouly its a very disappointing result after being 4-1 up but every team has that day at some point and sadly for us it was this game. We started very very well going forward which is a positive and its nice to see other people score apart from McGoldrick but i thin alot of Town fans can agree that breaking the Smith-Chambers paring is what has caused us to concede these amounts of goals. Berra is a great defender but after last season i never understood why Mick made the decision to break them up. But now we move on its a point but not a good one, however we move on and focus on going to Sheffield Wednesday and scoring the goals and looking to be more stable and be able to cope with the pressure they put on us. I will support Ipswich no matter what the situation is. Now to focus on Saturday and it's a chance to put things right. COYB!!

Would like to see Marriott come on as he works his socks off and it will be good to get him time here and there. Also with some people saying Hyam should have been dropped. Some people are panicking again, we played very well, Wigan are a hard team to beat but we have shown this season its all about being Ruthless as Mick said. We could have came away unbeaten so far this season if we seen games out and killed teams off. There is no need for PANIC. There are plenty of games left. Maybe we do need to shake it up and chop and change a few players but we can compete and its all about getting consistent which we can do. A week to prepare for Brighton and a win in that game puts us right back in the mix. Be patient. We will win games and we will loose games. That's football. Have faith. COYB!!

Town 2-1 Yeovil Town

Hyam is a great player and i dont think he should be dropped. He may need a rest but im sure TC is working to try and get one of them more forward. Skuse is absolutely BRILLIANT. What a signing he was. Got forward a bit tonight but we are still scoring goals so the 2 midfielders in Hyam and Skuse can't be that much of a problem. If we keep scoring then i can see why Mick is sticking with a midfield that is hard to break down through the middle. I also think Tunnicliffe is a great capture. Has a lot of energy and is attacking minded and as Mick said. He dont mind playing on the left.

Great win again tonight, we had plenty of chances to take the lead but its nice to see that under Mick we are able to recover from going a goal down. Town Could Be Unchanged Against Boro

Tomorrow and Tuesday are the perfect 2 games to kick start our season. As Alan Lee said in the post from today. Terry is working with the strikers on certain drills. Mick and Terry have had this international break to sit and let the players know were they are going wrong and how to fix it. This international break could have been a very good thing for us as the players would have had 2 solid weeks to improve on certain things. Im sure we can get 6 points from these 2 games. I personally will take 4 but i can see 2 wins if the players have used the break wisely and really put a shift in. COYB!!

I would love Mick to stay, he makes us more stable. Just need to work on being attacking minded as well as defensive. I don't think Ireland would struggle to pay the compensation and Mick has stated that he would return at some point. Who is to say that point is now and again personally i think it suits Martin O'Neil more and all these plastic fans wishing for Mick to go, you probably haven't even been to a game this season or probably since he took over. Mick is the right man for us and if they do come calling and he takes the job, i won't hate him. Im sure he will be thinking about it right now after seeing his name is in consideration but will be focusing on Saturday & Tuesday.

I like Alan Lee. He might be 35 but he still offers alot. Although he aint a player who will play 90 minutes he can do some damange when given the chance. I do think its brilliant that Lee partners Marriott because who better to improve your game off than Alan Lee. He can teach Marriott so much. I would like to see Marriott given a chance in the team, even if its just 10 minutes here and there. The next Jordan Rhodes. Let's just hope Town don't make a mistake and sell him.

Hyam: We All Need to Perform Better

I think our performances have been good but we just need to kill teams off when we have the chance and not be nice to them. Also we need that attacking minded player in the middle. If we can stay focused and finish teams off we will be fine.
