So I just made a new blog/website and i'd appreciate a bit of feedback on it.
It's pretty basic, just a current events/news based blog but i'm going to try to look at current events in a slightly different way. I only made it this morning, it only has one story up and it's still a little bare so any ideas you have to make it better... share 'em!
I had my PS3 on the other day and all was well. Just went to play the new game I bought and all I get is a green screen. This happens when im using both an HDMI lead and a scary. Does anyone have any idea whats going on?
My band was featured on a Live Lounge-esque BBC Introducing show in Lincolnshire on Sunday night. We played four acoustic songs (2 covers and 2 originals) and also did a little interview. There's audio of the entire show and a video of one of our songs, it'd be great if you gave one or both of them a quick listen.
I've only managed to glance at the board over the last couple of days so I haven't yet been able to take in many poster's opinions on McCarthy's appointment or even offer my own.
I think it was the obvious appointment, yet at the same time, it was a fairly controversial one that will split the support straight down the middle. If things don't go right, and quickly, then I think the doubters will rapidly become outers.
All things considered, I think this is a bad appointment for ITFC. I desperately wanted to see Holloway get the job. I think we, the players in particular, need a club philosophy, a sense of direction. That's a big part of what's wrong right now IMO. The players can't enjoy themselves and thus can't build confidence and creativity because they don't know what they're doing or where they're headed.
I'm going to use a somewhat strange analogy to illustrate my point. The ITFC players are convicts, Mick McCarthy is our current justice/punishment system and Ian Holloway is a justice system focussed more on rehabilitation. Currently, the players are under performing (committing crimes) so we punish them by appointing a manager who will shout at them and tell them off (locking them up in prison) when we should be nurturing them and providing them with a long term purpose/goal/philosophy (rehabilitating/educating them). Locking them up for a while does no good, they'll just go out and reoffend.
