Hyam Signs New Deal
at 15:32:08

Sorry can't get too excited about this one. Sorry to upset the Home Grown element amongst you, but Hyam is an average player, a good League 1 player, nothing more. We need better than this to progress. Does seem to reflect MM's footballing philosophy, unimaginative type of player that will keep an game tight

Good on yer JET, you have flair, Mick doesn't. Pleased to see you now have a manager that will utilise your talents to the best effect.

Hyam, limited ability, not Championship material, but fits perfectly into the current management ethos i.e runs till he drops. Pay the entrance fee to watch Hyam or Jet?

JET: O'Driscoll a Big Factor
at 09:32:07

Good luck Jay, sure your talents will be more appreciated at Bristol, plus playing every week for a manager that allows a player to express himself, and play a footballing game, rather than robot football can only benefit you.

JET Due in Bristol on Monday
at 13:08:00

JET dropping to Lge 1 ??. What a waste of a talent, and what the hell is MM thinking of. Alright JET may not be a 90 minute player week in week out, but sure as ninepence he can turn a game, have we a better impact player coming off the bench? Oh we did have one on a par with him, Jason Scotland!! Not all about teamwork MM, THERE IS A PLACE FOR INDIVIDUALS IN A TEAM, and it may mean the difference between a play off place and a top two finish.

Perhaps I'm a bit naive, but surely we want players that really want to play for us, not players that need shed loads of time to decide.

Drury Joins Crawley
at 21:40:45

Keanish. Yes he can play out wide, had done so all his career until coming to Ipswich, and played on the wing for his entire spell at Crawley. With the shackles off should be able to get forward more, and resume chipping in with a few goals

Davin44. Interesting then that a Northern Championship side want to sign him. Our record with him playing is far better over his time with us, than without him, but hey, we don't want to let facts get in the way

Mills: Management Change Came Just in Time
at 10:18:23

Regarding Drury, feel he was somewhat restricted under Mick, he's a player that likes to get forward, always been a flair player, but had to play more of a defensive role to fit in with Mick's team ethic. Can't fault Mick's approach, it works, but Drury IMO will be better off playing for a manager that let's him play his natural game, playing week in week out. Thought that Charlton away illustrated the latter perfectly, thought he was excellent in that game, but was pulled off after 60 mins. Not good for a players confidence, being regularly subbed, and dropped at the first opportunity. As for the other players, all could have been key players next season, no player is at their best every season e.g Smith, Hyam. MM should have kept this squad together

McCarthy: As Good As Anything I've Achieved
at 10:31:57

wkj Teams need time to gel, looks like we had a great team spirit, which helped us out of trouble. One or two signings yes, half the squad going NO. MM can do no wrong by most, another test for him next season, I have my doubts whether he can do again
