Bumped into James Collins in a pub in the city today. Nice bloke. I said he was an Ipswich legend and he said he didn't get called that often.
Joking aside, what was that game where he was absolutely epic. I think we won 1-0 in the season we got relegated. Think he got injured after that and retired shortly after. Shame as could have become a bit of a cult legend for us if he stayed fit. [Post edited 14 Nov 2023 20:56]

There seem to be rail replacement buses every weekend from London to Ipswich for the foreseeable (I've checked every weekend until mid April). Does anyone know how long this is lasting? The information on the Greater Anglia website is not very easy to understand. |

Not sure if anyone heard his interview with the BBC this morning but he said that if he was in England he would support a club in the second or third division. He spoke about the premier league and elite level football in general losing its soul.
Got me thinking, are the next few years going to be as good as it gets for us in terms of enjoyment.
We've got almost 30k people coming tomorrow to see a top of the table clash and it's going to be great, win lose or draw.
The aim is to get to the premier league and whilst that's the aim, maybe the journey will be better than the destination. Do we really want to get to the premier league and then get beaten most weeks struggling to survive. Would football be any more enjoyable if we supported Southampton or Crystal Palace?
Sorry maybe a bit philosophical for before 9am but enjoy the ride folks as we have our football club back.

Wow we were poor. Can't see us going on a run of form to get us in the playoffs.
Aluko was a class above with his use of the ball bu god help us if Morsy is supposed to be too good for this league. Evans not any better.
If Crewe had more potency up front we would have lost that game.
What's Piggot done to annoy PC?
Still a good day out and not yet in the PC out camp but we're miles off where we need to be. Choice of beer in Beatties could be improved. |

It's my first game at PR for 18+ months on Sunday. May be silly question but do you know if the turnstiles accept NHS app as proof of vaccination or do they need it to be printed? Assume they can scan the barcode of the tickets on the phone as well rather than having to print them off?

Surely now PC has to go with players who will be here next year.
No point with the likes of Judge, Sears, Ward or any of the loanees any more. Could maybe add Chambers, Skuse and Edwards to that list too.

Is he injured or just out of favour? Haven't seen his name in the 23's and he's not featured recently. Had such high hopes for him. Maybe he needs a loan spell at the start of next season. |

Thinking about our current squad, not sure why we've been wedded to 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 all season. We have a real lack of decent wide forwards and we're not really blessed with strikers who can play up top on their own. Surely going back to 2 up top would be more suitable?

KVY is interchangeable with Mattheson and Parrott could also play in a 2 up top I'm sure. Plenty of options at number 10 for Judge's role and lots of centre backs to choose from.

Just feels like the right guy to me. Still young and on the up rather than a manager on the merry go round. Knows League 1 well and adept at getting a team playing more than the sum of its parts. Local links too. Could be the right man for the club for the next 5+ years rather than another plaster over the cracks. |
