Rangers Striker Waghorn Set to Join Blues
at 23:56:37

An astute signing if he comes. Always caused Ipswich problems when he played against us. Powerful and with a real eye for goal. No Jon Dadi, so we'll have to keep the ball on the deck - great news! 27, so good age. Bit susceptible to hamstring and knee injuries. Keep him fit and he'll potentially score a hat-full.

Agree TrumptonBlue. Could we have some text relating to each photo please? Some players are obvious, some definitely are not! Cheers.

Blues Target Bodvarsson Set for Reading
at 10:57:23

According to my Wolves-supporting mates here in the Midlands, he is a crowd favourite and a really valuable player. They're really sad to see him leave, despite the fact they're able to splash out £15 million on individual players now.

McCarthy Delighted to Add Attacking Quality
at 14:53:21

Really exciting signings to go with Ward earlier in the window (and Conor Grant who I haven't seen yet). Of course, we're all disappointed Mick didn't manage to get a striker through the doors last night, but it gives Pitman, Sears and now Best the chance to show us fans what they can do. With the quality on both wings and in midfield with Williams (come October), Grant, Ward, Lawrence and Bishop to support the strike-force, it should be an exciting few months to Christmas. Let's see if Mick can continue to play the passing game he was developing in pre-season and follow it through - a necessity now we don't have that big presence up front with Murphy. COYB!

Town Set to Sign Everton Winger Grant
at 12:23:43

He's a winger that's played at Doncaster last season and up in Scotland before that. Just signed a new two-year deal with Everton. Very talented winger, not centre midfielder. Big chap. Provides fantastic crosses. Great signing. Well done Mick! COYB!!

Town Confirm Hyam Signs New Deal
at 14:46:31

Phil - do you mean 'he missed the early part of the 2015/16 season having undergone knee surgery', and not 2014/15? I'm pretty sure the original injury was at the beginning of 2015 in the Southampton game (Wanyama), and he briefly came back in pre-season last summer before injuring himself again and requiring a second go on the operating table.

Town Re-Sign Ambrose

mroberts - Didz, Berra, Gerken, & Parr. Henshall looks excellent every time he comes on, Bru looked inventive and skilful at Derby, Stewart should be excellent when he starts playing, and Bajner is a developing young striker. Then we have the young players coming through including Hyam and now Teddy Bishop who was superb at Derby. There is real hope at itfc!!!

Welcome back Darren. Another Academy Graduate playing for ITFC to help ensure Category 1 being granted next year. Excellent player and let's hope he really excels again. You left far too soon before, so let's hope your brilliant set-pieces, general work-rate and eye for goal get us up the table.

Town Confirm Bru Deal
at 17:45:17

Fantastic news. A creative midfield player with a talent for opening up opposition defences and a huge centre-forward. Who would look a gift-horse in the mouth (well apart from several posters here it seems). Bru is also a set-piece expert, so that should help make up for the assists from Cresswell's boot from previous years.

With Didz fit, Taylor playing better and Wordsworth scoring the odd goal, the addition of two wingers (Henshall and Stewart) makes our team a real force to be reckoned with. Really excited about this year for the first time in ages. COYB!

Where Is Our 20-Goal-A-Season Man?
at 16:04:05

I do share your concerns. Pretty concerned about how Berra looked at CB against Stevenage as well. Shame for me we had to get rid of JET too, who was young enough to continue to develop and always looked good when coming on as sub. Anderson didn't look particularly thrilling on Tuesday night.

However, Wordsworth - if he plays - is potentially a goal-scorer. He scored 35 goals for our Essex cousins, one goal every five games, which is not bad. And I have to say that Paul Taylor looked really up for it, full of running, speed (unusual for Ipswich), and was always looking to shoot or provide a killer-pass. He could score a few this season.

Another excellent signing and a well needed addition to our surprisingly sparse midfield. Really hope he will be the spark to create some chances for the impressive-looking McGoldrick and whoever is his partner upfront. Murphy looking good recently, and looking fwd to seeing Nouble progress.

Well done the Mighty Mac!

McCarthy: He's Not JET Yet
at 00:48:19

That's sobriquet (without the 'u' I'm pretty sure) and JET's not that anyway. JET's an acronym, being derived from the initials of his full name, whereas a sobriquet would be a nickname - like Big Apple for New York. Here endeth the lesson...

Interviews Taking Place
at 14:30:44

What IS interesting is that Harry Redknapp has just been on Sky from his home in Bournemouth. He said he was desperate to get back into work (getting bored of golf) and would think about being the manager of a Championship club - but ruled himself out of the Blackburn position. Why is ME and SC not interviewing the guy?

4-2 Wembley v Barnsley. What a day. What an atmosphere. What a performance. Close second - 5-3 semi-final against Bolton with the most unlikely hat-rick ever from Super Jim.

Best signings - Marcus Stewart, David Johnson, Martin Reuser, Bobby Petta, Matty Holland - Dyer and Tarrico home-grown/signed in the 90s
