and hardly an ounce of attacking threat in this team. All the flair is sat on the bench.
Mick has done extremely well to save the Club last season, but I am at a loss to see where we are going to "push on" with the rigid 4-4-2 tactics that deploy game in , game out. We barely got over the half way line for most of the game. A neutral in the ground could eb forgiven for thinking the team playing in red were the home side.
stuffed 4-0 by a man utd reserve side and they are not happy.
At least the gobby "ged" now lists all that Town fans have known about their team for a long while.
**BREAKING NEWS** We are not very good at football. Which is a major concern for a football Club. Get him out of my club NOW. Kudos, Ged (Legend) OTBC Ged Steroo

Pathetic. We play the worst Man Utd team in living memory, they put out their 3rd team, we play our 1st eleven and we get absolutely hammered out of sight. Disgusting. He has to go NOW !!! Warm regards. Ged x (leader of fans)
Sadly MM clearly wants the Ireland job. Lets get this done and dusted so our Club can move on and appoint a new manager. The ongoing speculation WILL harm the continuity / form of the team.
On a separate note: Had we this time last season been given the option of having MM for a 1 year period and whose remit was to keep us up, and receive a bonus to achieve this goal but would then move onto another job. WE would Im sure all have taken this short term strategy.
MM achievements for ITFC have been breath taking , given what he inherited. Ignore what he was paid to achieve that goal : He's more than earned it IMO as he (and Evans actions in bringing McCarthy in) has saved this Club from oblivion and the outlay of MM's contract and reported £1m bonus pale into insignificance when compared to the loses we would have incurred had we been relegated to League One.
** IF he does leave us , I would want us to acknowledge what he has achieved and done for Ipswich Town FC and "Thank" him for this, then move on to a new era.
He and TC have definitely left us in a far better place. Maybe the time is actually right to bring in another manager with a more attacking ethos to take us to that next level?
