So, in the end, we finished 14th (our average finish for the past four seasons) and got 60 pts (our lowest points haul for 3 seasons and this lowest in the past 11 years. But thank The Lord for Mick McCarthy. What could have been...
Our average points tally since we came down is 65.5 points - our average position 11th.
12/13 - 60 pts (14th) PJ/MM
11/12 - 61 pts (15th) PJ
10/11 - 62 pts (13th) RK/PJ
09/10 - 56 pts (15th) RK
08/09 - 66 pts (9th) JM/RK
07/08 - 69 pts (8th) JM
06/07 - 62 pts (14th) JM
05/06 - 56 pts (15th) JR
04/05 - 85 pts (3rd) JR
03/04 - 73 pts (5th) JR
02/03 - 70 pts (7th) GB/JR

If Villa win at Carrot Rd on Saturday and Wigan win their next two - the yellow boys are deep in the do-do. Aren't they?
It would really top off a lovely end to the season, wouldn't it....
