Nothing hill rumour: speaking to a young man at the carnival this year who ( may or may not have been quite intoxicated) has informed me with great belief that our new mysterious centre half is not going to be jonas Olsen ( the big strong experience swede ) but infact Josh Yoreorth, the young centre back currently earning his keep down at Crawley Town. The Mick out Bigrade will clearly have there doubts. However for me and I'm sure many others an astute signing. Familiar face around the training ground and a much better player after a season in league 2. |

"Just looking back on pre season odds and I can't believe that people haven't been jumping on us to go up at 100/1. Scintillating start aside, we've a proper football man in Mick in charge who really does know his onions. He's got teams out of this division before and he'll do it again! I can only assume that the bookies downgraded our chances of going up once we lost the prolific marksman, Brett Pitman, to pastures new!
Bet against us, and Mick, at your own peril! I personally will look forward to collecting my winnings and starting a season in the Prem this year.

On the eye, not the quickest. However his mind is electric. I've never seen a smarter, more intelligent player wearing a town shirt.
Pitman, with his clinical finishing, is the type of man we should be building our club around! I'm surprised he's moved down a division rather than up.
I know someone who works around the training ground and he tells me Pirman is always the first and last to leave the ground. I could see from the pre season photos the effort he was putting in to shaping his muscles and was looking forward to his new, physically enhanced approach to games. Yes, his hair is receding, but his career certainly isn't as he moves in to his twilight.
A great man once said... 'Walk the line' with this departure we have lost our footing and our line is no longer in sight.
Pitman, at this rate you'll be a championship player next year and we won't be. Best of luck, thanks for the good memories (last min bicycle kick). I love you Brett! |
