I've always looked ahead to both Hull and Coventry as the pivotal games if we get automatically promoted, sadly I can't see us winning both (our away form has looked fragile of late and Hull we be desperate for the win) - the Leeds win last night and then a trip to QPR (can't see them slipping up there) could be the end of our hopes. I'll be glad to be proved wrong and I'll eat humble pie. |

I think we look a better side when Moore isn't starting funny enough...the linking up to him isn't working, Hirst though a big physical player as well is more agile. Anything can happen over the next few weeks but the Hull and Coventry fixtures have not come at a good time. |

Well just my opinion but disappointed on how this week has gone, I feel if we don't make the play-offs we'll look back on this week. Okay great to be top and other posters saying well look how Leeds and Leicester are doing but we should be should be concentrating 100% on what we're doing.
Not easy today and Boro looked the tougher of the 2 home fixtures as proved but we did okay 1st half and again should have been more clinical - Chaplin and Hutch the culprits, we stay top but with 2 tough looking away fixtures coming up I'll be very surprised if we're still there before the Huddersfield final game as our away performances of late have not been good. |

Middlesbrough in my opinion will be tougher than tonight...they can raise their game but have been just too inconsistent particularly at the start of the season - I would have taken the win tonight and settle for a draw on Saturday but who knows what will happen...I certainly wouldn't have Leicester/Leeds and ourselves at short odds on the betting coupons anymore whoever they play. |

Well ultimately should have scored in the first half and didn't do enough in the second with Watford chewing up the first 20 minutes of that half possessing the ball so the 'bounce back ability' wasn't there tonight - last time we failed to score 2 games running was at the turn of the New Year and a bit of a 'dodgy' period.
Noticed we had a few set pieces/corners which we did very little from...would be nice for once to see Woolfie/Burgess or any of our CB's get on a header for once never mind score, gone seem the days of Beattie/Butcher/De Vos/Mowbray and the like scoring from such events.
We move on but an opportunity lost tonight for a baby step forwards - nobody wants to win now! :) |
