Boss Has Idea Who Will Get New Deals

Goven the loan comment. I'd say Carson may not be playing for us again?

Ainsley's Chelmsford Loan Extended
at 13:27:03

Ainsley has probably found his level and hopefully playing games will win himself a contract.

From seeing many reserve games, he simply isn't good enough although as always is honest and tries hard.

Whight is a mystery - clearly has the right attributes but seems to be a lack of confidence that is holding him back?

Blues Amongst Clubs Linked With Blackpool Defender
at 13:48:04

If we can get Stearman at a good price, he covers RB and CB for us so i'd say we'd be looking at the lower leagues for CB cover or sign up Kisnorbo when his contract ends at Leeds in the summer?

Ainsley Joins Chelmsford
at 12:57:07

Probably about his level i'm afraid.

He's 22, not 18 and every manager has decided he's not good enough and brought in loans or other signings to play in his position at RB.

Hewitt is rightly in front of him and he's only played L2 for half a season before his time at ITFC.

Best of luck, but the fact not even a conference side was willing to take a punt on him says a lot.

Rhodes Amongst the Championship's Best
at 07:10:54

As Mick says it was always going to be Rhodes or Wickham who left and we got £800k for Rhodes and £8.1m for Wickham, with more to come.

In hindsight, yes it was wrong but we could never keep both and Wickham was judged to be the better prospect

Clegg: Exciting Times Ahead for Town
at 08:49:28

Keanish - one of the good things all the managers have said about Clegg and Evans is they keep out of footballing decisions so I wouldn't expect them to question the sale, particularly of a young player who had yet to prove himself at Championship level.

As soon as the CEO and Owner start interfering in transfers, either in our out, you end up with Forest and Blackburn....

Ainsley to Return to Preston

Nice enough lad, just not good enough for this division i'm afraid.

Good luck wherever he ends up!

McCarthy: Loans More Likely Than Permanent Deals
at 17:14:10

Not a bad thing - loans turning into a permanent deal lined up for the summer is a good way to go.

Not a problem at all with this way of working for MM

McCarthy Will Look to Replace Orr But No Deals Imminent
at 15:40:07

@Keanish - Caddis is only on loan at Birmingham as they couldn't afford to buy him from Swindon in January.

I'm sure we could strike a deal with Swindon though who are also broke....

Pitch Currently Under Cover and Playable

It's not the club, it's the ref who will call it off at 2:45 on Saturday.....

That's unless the police don't get there first when an inch of snow falls somewhere in Yorkshire!

Campbell Set to Leave QPR
at 17:01:20

I say spend the money elsewhere.

We have McGoldrick who is a younger and cheaper version of DJ and we can spend DJ's fee and very large wages on Forrester and Wordsworth (and probably have change left over)

Yes, he did well but we have other priorities now. Fear this could be a Bullard type situation again - do brilliantly on loan and then be lumbered with an overpaid, underperforming player.

Ainsley at Preston
at 18:42:35

Only surprise is it's taken Mick so long to ship him out.

Honest pro, doesn't equal good pro for this level i'm afraid.

Good luck to him, but he needs to play and guessing Preston have decided L1 is probably too high for him at the moment given Histon terminated his loan a few years back

Great piece of business - a striker fit, bang in form as well and no risk to us with a permanent deal lined up if we want it.

Drury Wants to Stay

A good squad player on very low wages currently, so we should definitely keep for at least 1 more year!

We only have him and Hyam as permanent CM worthy of a first team place!

Likely to mean Cresswell pushing into Left Midfield as Carlos has in RM?
