We was diabolical defensively. Gerken is not good enough for League One let alone the Championship. He does not command his box and does not come off his line. The third goal was not Skuse's fault if Gerken actually came off his line then it would help a massive deal. If Bart was in goal he would have been straight off his line and would have claimed it as his ball. Bart deserved to have his Number One shirt back. Bart was playing probably his best football in a town shirt before his dad sadly passed away. Also tonight our midfield was non-existent apart from Skuse who was playing virtually in defence.

Douglas was terrible and I can now see why Brentford got rid of him. He is just a poor mans Skuse. We badly missed Bru or Bish there was no creativity at all in the team expect for McGoldrick and Sears. McGoldrick should not be having to drop to virtually defence to get the ball and make things happen. The whole defence fell to pieces like it did against Brighton and I would happily see Tabby back to play against Leeds, he is a million times better than Douglas not that that's very difficult. I wonder if we can recall Cameron Stewart and see what he is like... oh wait I reckon he doesn't work hard enough and that's why he has not even had a look in.

The players on yellow cards were all to scared to tackle in case they got sent off. However if a Reading player would have made any of those challenges then they would have got away with it. Murphy was completely in effective when he came on and Maitland-Niles done very little apart from his shot at end. Our two players what looked half decent was McGoldrick and Sears.

SORT IT OUT MICK!!!!!!!
We are counting on you Mick, I will give you a heads up. Changing the goalkeeper might be a start then address the defence!

Gerken- Not a lot to do, however pulled off a couple of good saves but overall not a bad game.

Chambers- Chambo was by far our best defender, pulled off some vital blocks.

Smith- Smith had a soild game, however I do wish that he would learn to pass the ball on the floor more often.

Berra- Berra was having a nightmare defensively, he wasn't being his normal self in the air, also had a stupid challenge in their half for the goal. Berra was also getting beaten to a lot of headers by Joe Garner.

Knudsen- Knudsen looks like a brilliant find again, these left backs are becoming a habit and long may it continue. Knudsen made some important blocks and stopped what was going to be a goal.

Fraser- Fraser took his goal very well, he made a few bursting runs down the wing but it wasn't really his kind of game, however he needs to improve his corner taking.

Douglas- Douglas is too similar to Skuse. I personally think we miss Bishop or Bru as there is no creativity in the centre of the park. However Douglas was not bad by any stretch.

Skuse- Skuse was our best player along with Chambers. Skuse was very solid again and sat in front of the back four and picked up the ball and played it out but also made some good tackles.

Sears- Freddie was outstanding again, he played very well and created some good chances and put in a brilliant cross for Pitman's goal.

Pitman- Pitman looks a very cool customer in front of goal and took his goal brilliantly. The football they played in the build up to both goals was outstanding and it was nice to see Pitman being involved in both goals.

McGoldrick- Mick set up with the stupid idea of trying to use Didz as a target man. Every Ipswich fan knows that McGoldrick's a player who doesn't win headers and has never been able too. I personally don't think McGoldrick deserved to be taken off, he needed to be swap with Pitman and be played where Pitman was in Midfield.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles- Enjoy watching him while he is here cause this lad is going straight to the top, you can see it in the way he plays, he's a premiership footballer playing at championship level and I will be very surprised if he is not in Arsenal's team when he goes back at the end of the season. He plays like a lad that is a lot older than 17. He looks like he's got masses of experience with the way he plays.

Bialkowski- He done what he had to do well but overall had not a lot to do.
Chambers- Didn't really notice Chambo much slotted in at centre half when need where he should be playing but harsh to drop Tommy.
Berra- Christophe done very well only defender that really notice he was here and there and everywhere. Got to every ball and read the game well.
Smith- Tommy had a good game and went about his business quietly and did what he needed to do.
Mings- Ty was not as good as he normally was. Some fans worried that Arsenal story every week might be getting to his head.
Tabb- Tabby done well today he did everything but score if only he would have put that chance away with a dink over the keeper rather than trying to put it around him. It was a case of falling to the wrong player.
Skuse- Skuse probably had one of his better games if that's possible? He went about his business quietly and done what he had to do.
Bishop- Bish had a really good game but it wasn't his sort of game it was just a game of long balls but we played better and used Bish more effectively when we played it on the floor. I have to say though Bish and Didz done some great build up work between them before one of Didz's attempts.
Anderson- Ando has a average game. He worked his socks off he was up and down the pitch all day but can't last the full 90 mins but overall done well but not his best game.
Murphy- Murph did well played in deeper role which would usually be occupied by Didz but might have been switch to try and fool Bolton and might have been cause we needed Didz's skill and agility to break through the Bolton defence at crucial moments. Murph done well and got it good positions and used his physical presence well.
McGoldrick- Didz had one of the best games I've seen him have since coming back from injury. He played very well was all over the pitch and involved and had a couple of really good chances which he was unlucky not to score from.

Bialkowski- Bart looked assured with the saves he made he got out well and knew when to come for ball and not to and commanded his box unlike Gerken.
Chambers- Chambers was my MOTM today if it wasn't for him getting some vital blocks in covering all over the backline we could quite easily have lost.
Smith- Smith almost took the net off with his goal put it this way not keeper was going to stop it with the speed it was going at he done well and doesn't deserve to be dropped.
Berra- Berra was his usual reassured self and had a good game not one of his best but did what he had to do and did it well.
Mings- Mings is coming on leaps and bounds and I will be very surprised if he's still here come end of January I hope he is cause the lads got a big big future ahead of him and we need to keep him if we are serious about going up.
Bru- Bru is a great player and credit to mick and tc for finding him we really have got someone with potential and what I like about Bru is that he has the ability to pick a pass as we have seen in recent weeks like against Blackburn when he set McGoldrick up with the dink pass but also he not afraid to shoot and have ago himself.
Tabb- I didn't really notice Tabby he wasn't ahocking but he wasn't outstanding either he went about his business and did what he had to do.
Williams- Poor little jonny he gets kicked about from pillar to post whatever team comes down here but you could see that Watford had a plan to kick him off the pitch which they managed to do but then to go and congratulate your own player for injuring one of the opposition is disgusting and I hope they get done for it.
Murphy- Well well Murph just goes from strength to strength he almost took the back of the net off with one of his shots and there is no doubt that we have the best strike pairing in the division. Murph is a player I rate highly and with all the confidence he has at the moment he can only get better.
McGoldrick- It still appears that Didz is not properly fit and you can see that in his game when he's playing and he's taking a deeper role behind Murph and I think its suits him more in the Eric Gates role. It was also a very well worked free-kick by Hunt and Didz.
Hunt- Hunt had a good game I think he's improving and he is someone who gives it his all everytime he puts on a Town shirt and the fans love someone like that.
Bishop- I feel that the Bish has the potential to be better than Williams. Bishop it a very clever footballer and that comes across in he's game like when it went past the Watford players that were marking him like they wasn't there.
Sammon- Sammon wasn't on the pitch long enough he was brought on cause Didz was knackered and cause of his aerial threat and how physical he is this way he could go back and defend and get balls away but there wasn't need for it

Gerken - Made a good save but still needs to command his box and shout at his defence but wasn't really troubled

Parr - Parr look good and looked his usual solid self and got up the pitch however he pulled up holding his right knee but played on and a couple of times when he could have hit it with his right he pulled it back onto his left cause of the injury.

Smith - Smith had a good game but we missed Chambers cause the right footed and left footed centre back idea was working well.

Berra- I've been really impressed with Berra since he first came through the doors he shows why he can be a premiership defender and it's just his pace that lets him down however he makes up for this by being able to read the game quicker than a lot of strikers.

Mings - Ty has come on leaps and bounds he is improving with every game he plays and he is going to be a key factor for us this season. He's big, strong, physical, quick and can time tackles to perfection and I think we will find it hard to keep hold of him.

Skuse - I didn't think Skuse had his worst game ever but I still don't think he is good enough for this level and for our team.

Sammon - Sammon got better as the game grew on but he is still no where near as good as Murph. However we missed Murph big time our hold up play wasn't good and some of Sammons touch where abysmal.
Hunt - Now the decision to play Hunt without him having any game time this season only for the U21's shocked a lot of fans and I wasn't over impressed his corners were good but he tried to run with the ball and got tackled a lot.

Bru - Bru had a very good game today I thought he was (M.O.T.M) for me personally and I really couldn't understand why Mick took him off it was a stupid piece of management.

Williams - Everyone's happy to see Joniesta back and him and McGoldrick are going to be brilliant in the team together as they proved but don't forget there is Murph to come back into the side as well however the one moment of Jonny's that really stood out was when he sprinted back towards the Bobby Robson stand and made that slide tackle which could have potentially been a game changer.

McGoldrick - Didz is no where near where he was 12 months ago but he's slowly getting back the confidence that he had last season and getting properly match fit again. However I never thought id say this about Didz but he missed Murph big time Sammon will never be the same player Murph is and Didz can see that and that where he misses Murphs hold up play.
